Exceptionally comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a lounge, a huge window, and a chair in the room. Smooth check-in, unbeatable location near to the centre of Florence, Florence, and the Duomo, near San Giovanni Baptistery, behind the Chapels Medicee. Again, walking distance to The Handlebar.

Friendly, clean hostel right next to the Duomo. The location is wonderful. We booked a triple room, had a fresco on the ceiling and a view of the Battistero. The room was clean, spacious, simple but nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. There were 4 bathroooms for the rooms to share.

You can't beat the location here! It’s right next to San Lorenzo Church and just a stone's throw from all the sights, the train station, and the street market. Plus, it's really close to the Duomo too. The prices are good, making it a great deal overall. 😊.

Superb experience. Perfect location, unique and authentic decoration (fresco) in the room, view to the Piazza del Duomo. The place is spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet. The staff is welcoming, helpful, really nice people. Probably the best budget choice in Firenze.

This hotel is located 50 paces away from the Duomo--an ideal location! The hotel itself is a little worn but it was quaint and had a homey feel to it. The staff were amazingly helpful--very kind and considerate!

Great value for the room! It comes with a cozy lounge area, a large window bringing in lots of light, and a comfortable chair to relax in. 🌟

Excelent location (if you don't mind the noise of tourist talking in the streets at night), you coud see the Cattedrale di Santa María del Fiore and the Battistero di San Giovanni from the room's window, very impressive. Big room, with a table and a couple of chairs.

The bathrooms (shared) were not very nice (a little scary sometimes, specially the shower), the elevator was tiny and very uncomfortable (which might sound irrelevant but it isn't when you need to use it to move your baggage, we have to take turns to use it when we were with them). The walls were thin like paper and you could hear people talking in other rooms *very* loudly. If you are not very tolerant to noise, it might be not your favourite place to stay.

The Albergo San Giovanni was noisy, dirty (dusty) and our room was in the annex not the main hotel. I complained that I was having allergic attack cause someone previously stayed in the room with a dog. I looked under the bed and found dog hairs and lots of dust. The staff moved us to a smaller room, I felt a little better. I would not recommend this hotel.

If you are looking for a place with good service and a nice restaurant, Albergo San Giovanni is the place for you. the large rooms offer stunning views and the unbeatable location allows easy access to various restaurants and bars in the area.

The location is wonderful, the staff is very respectful, and we enjoyed having dinner at Coco Lezzone nearby. Our room was spacious, with its own bathroom as well as shared facilities.

The man that checked us in was very friendly and polite, but we never saw him again since they said our booking was at the B&B San Lorenzo. Our room there was nice, the location was great (right onto the steps of the San Lorenzo church), the elevator worked, and the breakfast was great (for an Italian one, of course).

We were very disappointed that our room was not in the place we thought we were booking. Our room was nice, but sounds carry, and we were woken by someone early every morning in the kitchen.
